Why have pictures of humans accompanying descriptions for animal combatants? It's stupid, and completely at odds with what is otherwise a really atmospheric wiki.

The problem is that although the cartoonist happens to depict the characters as humanoid cats (and other animals), which are in turn intended to represent stuffed toys (q.v. the works of Milne et al), they behave in every respect like humans. Their history is our history, and so forth. Their catness has no semantic content; it makes no more difference than if these events were being staged by people all wearing green makeup.

Would it satisfy you if every human picture had a cat's face badly photoshopped onto it? Because that's as "animal" as the characters in the GOF get. StClair
