The Replacements

From The Great Outdoor Fight

Jump to: navigation, search

The appearance by The Replacements in 1985 is notable as the final public performance of original guitarist Bob Stinson. Stinson was seen wandering about soon after the conclusion of their set, clad only in a diaper and clutching a spork, muttering semi-coherently about turkey. Stinson was last seen having a heated discussion with Tricky Nicki Todd, and whatever subsequently befell him has long been a source of debate amongst the band's legion of fans.

The band soldiered on for several years with the inestimably crappy Slim Dunlap taking over Stinson's guitar duties, but ultimately (and sadly), they too proved to be 'eliminated, but still standing' after the 1985 fight.
