Talk:Fight-Bot
From The Great Outdoor Fight
Eric's version seems more 'realistic' than this one. It's a symptom of the 80's slump that the Championship would be won by some brutal, inelegant thing that just sat there, spun around, and knocked people over.

It would have to be one hell of a slump for them to allow a completely non-sentient entity to enter. I think the new version does a better job of granting Fight-bot's place in the fight a bit of credibility. I can believe that they'd let something silly-ass into the fight, but I have a hard time believing that they'd allow what is essentially a remote-controlled killing machine to enter. To have a sentient robot enter, only to malfunction and accidentally win, is at once more humorous, less shameful, and slightly more credible. I think the new revision could still use some work, but this just seems to me to be more in "the spirit" of both Achewood and The Fight.
- I have to agree. I'm sure even the pro-robot faction would have been slightly pissed off if something with no ability of its' own came into the Fight. This ain't Robot Wars. --AlanSharkey 03:47, 30 March 2006 (EST)
