RUFUS
From The Great Outdoor Fight
The tale of RUFUS is shrouded in mystery and horror. It is unknown whether "RUFUS" is actually his name, because it was the only word that he ever spoke, or at least grunted. The only surviving fight winner never to be given his winnings, RUFUS tore his way through the wall of the Acres following his victory, marking the first recorded breach of these monumental links. It also marked the first disturbance of the graves south of the Acres, as RUFUS demolished their headstones on his way towards the Horizon.
RUFUS is renowned for offering to give the meal to his men, and then removing them all from the fight before they could partake, ensuring the feast meant for an entire army was devoured by him alone.
The dents visible in the legs of the control tower until its destruction in 2006, were created by RUFUS swinging his foes into them. While it is still unknown how he managed to cause dents up to 15' off the ground in this manner, it is currently being researched, alongside "Rodney's Beerbottle Spiral" at the Great Outdoor Fight Museum.
