Great Outdoor Fight 2007
From The Great Outdoor Fight
The 2007 Great Outdoor Fight saw the largest crop of new blood into the fight since its beginning. Great Outdoor Fight 2006 caused such a great amount of damage to The Acres that many speculated that the fight would be postponed until later in the year, canceled altogether, or moved to another location. These speculators were shocked to discover that the Ruling Body had no intentions of doing any of these things. Due to this decision almost none of the fight's big names showed up, all of them scolding the Ruling Body for their lack of preparedness.
What the fight saw instead was a whole new crop of talent emerge. Timid fighters scared of legendary fighters such as (the still well noted inspite of his staggering '06 loss) Ron Sipes decided to make this the year they would try. In truth many of these new men (and a few women) were phenominal fighters that had been scared off by the glare of the spotlights.
These "new wave" fighters, as they are now called introduced many new techniques which, when coupled with the groundshaking developments of Great Outdoor Fight 2006 have completely changed the way many people think of the Great Outdoor Fight.
The 2007 fight also saw the largest use of improvised weaponry in many years due to the large amount of industrial salvage available on The Acres at the time of the fight.
The 2007 fight was won by Murdoc D. Jillers, now commonly refered to as "He Who Could Kill You With A Thought".
