Great Outdoor Fight 2006
From The Great Outdoor Fight
The 2006 Great Outdoor fight may go down as one of the most memorable in the Fight's history. The Fight was ostensibly won by the Son of Rodney, BOC of the legendary Rodney Leonard Stubbs, with the help of his "Best Mate", only referred to as one Roast Beef.

[edit] Pre-Fight
So-Rod entered shortly before the beginning of the Fight, claiming BOC status and subsequently mauling the affable 1997 Champion, Fredrick "Envelópe" Martinez. His Best Mate was also entered as a participant in the Fight (though there is some question as to where and how he successfully qualified).
Buzz quickly spread around the Acres and the Queue that the Son of Rodney was participating in the Fight. Roast Beef is also believed to have assaulted Doyle Headley with a motorcycle upon their arrival, though no one has yet come forward to claim a foul in this incident.
[edit] Day One
As soon as the Gate opened, So-Rod and Beef quickly followed Rodney's footsteps to the northeast corner of the Acres, avoiding the initial scrum and its attendant injuries and disqualifications.
So-Rod first impressed his army and several onlookers with a takedown of "Perfect" Ron Sipes, causing him to collapse in pain from a mere jab to the shoulder. He then took down "New-Age" fighter Sound and Motion in a way which could only be described as rude, suggesting a dark sense of humor. Toward the end of Day 1, So-Rod was approached by Cody Travis, who called him a coward and announced he would be taking So-Rod's army away from him. So-Rod lunged at Travis and, in a display of brutality which left no doubts to his Blood of Champion, tore Travis' face off. So-Rod and his Best Mate finished their day by watching this year's fight entertainment, the Tenmen.
[edit] Day Two
By noon of Day 2, So-Rod was the only remaining army leader (Travis had been eliminated, and two much smaller armies completely annihilated each other early in the morning). He chose to partake of the turkey and brandy himself, as his father did, rather than give it to his men. While he was off the field, most of his army (including, it seemed, Roast Beef) was eliminated by the remnants of Travis' army. When he finally emerged from the snack tent and learned of this, So-Rod went berserk and turned what was left of Travis' army into Cowboy Sauce. He then drew up a fire-barrel and settled in for the night. None of the other fighters still on the field dared to challenge him at this time.
[edit] Day Three
The third day began with a surprising discovery - Roast Beef had not been eliminated at all, but had hidden himself in a successful attempt to drive So-Rod berserk. The last few fighters whittled each other down until only Rudy Cava was left to challenge So-Rod. Cava was dealt a quick takedown after some trash talk. Son of Rodney and Roast Beef were now the Last Two Men Standing.
As the two mates shared the rest of the bottle of brandy, the one and only Man with the Blood on his Hands came out to talk to them through the fence. What he said is not known, but it probably involved a reminder that only one man could win the Fight. After a brief consultation, Son of Rodney called out the Jeeps rather than fight his friend.
What followed is already being compared to the Third Day of 1973.
As the Jeeps entered the Acres, So-Rod rigged a Molotov cocktail from the last of the brandy and threw it into the grill of the nearest Jeep. The flames and smoke blinded the driver, allowing So-Rod to jump aboard, pull the driver out, and beat him down. So-Rod and Roast Beef took control of the Jeep, the latter using the driver's sidearm to shoot out the tires of the second Jeep and causing it to collide with the third. While one of them (most accounts say it was So-Rod) emptied the Jeep's spare gas cans over the tailgate, the other drove into the fence and proceeded to knock it down along its entire perimeter, including Tower One and the New Gate, before igniting the gasoline with a final pistol shot and riding off into the sunset.
The Acres had been razed to the ground and salted.
In 1973, the Man with the Blood on his Hands took on the rest of the Fight alone. In 2006, Rodney's son (with his Best Mate at his side) took on the Fight itself... and won.
