Great Outdoor Fight 1982
From The Great Outdoor Fight
The 1982 Fight is remembered mostly for its conclusion, which was nearly a repeat of the 1962 debut of the Jeeps. The Jones brothers, Junior and Alphonso, were the Last Two Men Standing and declared their intention to face the Jeeps rather than fight each other. Once the Jeeps were actually brought onto the Acres, however, Alphonso's nerve failed and he turned on his brother to avoid being run down. Junior Jones was forced to punch his brother's jaw off, ending the Fight.
