Great Outdoor Fight 1928
From The Great Outdoor Fight
There are two things which most people remember of the 1928 Fight. First was eventual Champion Isaac Brinigh's decision to infiltrate one of his opponents' armies after midnight on Day 1 disguised as its leader, and direct it against another. By sunrise on Day 2, where four armies had once stood now there were only two, with the scattered remnants of Curt Beck and Stanley Wojoski's armies either eliminated or absorbed by the beginning of the Turkey Dinner.
On the afternoon of Day 3, Champion Isaac Brinigh faced off against Stanley Wojoski and the latter leader's five remaining followers. Wojoski attempted to eliminate Brinigh with a Berserker Festival, only to have his eyes and tongue gouged out when Brinigh met his charge. This broke the spirits of Wojoski's remaining followers, Brinigh and had to spend the afternoon and evening of Day 3 hunting each of the five down.
