Fredrick "Envelópe" Martinez
From The Great Outdoor Fight
1997 Champion. Fredrick "Envelópe" Martinez called on his experience in the Mexican pro wrestling leagues to propel himself to victory in '97. He had impressive showings in 1996 and 1998 as well, but publicly announced that he would not enter the Fight again following the birth of his twin children, well aware of the perils that were involved.
Martinez remains a popular fighter, and will occasionally still moonlight in qualifying rounds as a celebrity combatant. His relaxed attitude, friendly demeanor and endearing difficulty with the English language even landed him a brief stint in 2000 as the official spokesman for the Fight.
A devout Catholic and an avid amateur craftsman who specializes in animatronics and carpentry, many believe that Envelópe Martinez embodies the very essence of the Gentleman Fighter.
He was defeated by Son of Rodney as proof of the latter's Blood of Champion, and needed to get his entire face remade.
