Cody Travis

From The Great Outdoor Fight

Jump to: navigation, search

Cody Travis is a popular country and western singer who has taken to entering the Fight as a publicity stunt. Though he mostly seeks to sell more albums, particularly down in the South, Travis is considered a solid fighter and a prospective leader. As of 2006 he has been in five fights.

Travis was first enamored with the fight, like most children of the 70's, through Bret Phipps' legendary folk anthem "The Man With the Blood On His Hands". Before music stardom hit, he would frequently play some of the rowdiest roadhouses in the country, and on more than one occasion would stop performing just to jump into fights. His music reputation rose, and prior to his first number one album, he played as the first night entertainment at the 1999 Fight. Seeing the carnage first-hand sealed Travis' post-millionaire fate. He returned to the Acres in 2002 - this time as a Fighter.

Since his fall at the 2006 Fight, Travis has been recovering from injuries suffered during the fight (most notably the horrific face tearing at the hands of Son of Rodney). He is also currently writing songs for his next album, In Christ Our Fight Is Won.
