Bailey Braddock
From The Great Outdoor Fight
Bailey Braddock was one of the most persistent of the Fight regulars in the 1970s. He fought in 7 fights from 1971 to 1978, only missing the 1973 Fight due to a car wash accident that snapped his femur. Braddock continued to fight despite increasingly serious injuries, including most famously having a severed arm driven into his stomach by 1977 champion Herb Lane. Braddock's most spectacular Fight moment came in 1972, when he eliminated 1968 champion Carl Haskins with a kick in the mouth that caused him to choke on his own teeth. Braddock was killed in 1978 by that year's Champion Wilton Rowley, who stomped on Braddock's throat on the first day.
