Andrew Ironman
From The Great Outdoor Fight
Andrew Ironman was a charismatic figure in the early 1920's. He was known for enduring brutal punishment, hoping to jar his opponent's confidence before beating his face in. He would always extend a hand to his opponent before any of his fights.
In 1921 He hoped to catch a skirmish with Elias Bennett but was grappled from behind by Englebert Malone. He managed to escape and engage in fisticuffs with Malone, but soon passed out due to the other man's terrible halitosis.
His defining moment was in 1923, when he stood up to would-be champion Leandro Sidower. He was the first and only man to remain standing after getting hit by Leandro Sidower's infamous Left Hand. However, three more blows sent him into a coma which he never woke up from.
Andrew Ironman should not be confused with the Iron men, the followers of Tor Babcock in the 1931 Fight.
